Potts Rossa, L.P.N., age 88, of Stevensville, PA, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2014. Maxine was born July 25, 1925 in Kingston, PA a daughter of the late Ezra T. & Dora Betty May Jones. She moved to Liberty Corners in 1935 and she graduated from the Towanda High School, a member of the class of 1943. She graduated from the Chicago School of Nursing in 1952 and worked as a licensed practical nurse at the Mills Hospital, Towanda, PA, and the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. She later worked for Dr. Peterson M.D. in Wyalusing, PA. Maxine was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a member of LeRaysville Chapter #498, Order of the Eastern Star. Surviving: Son and daughter-in-law: Thomas & Esther Potts Sugar Run, PA Three daughters and sons-in-law: Diana & James Williams Harwinton, CT DeLores A. & Garry O. Cobb Spring Hill, PA Evaughn Satterfield Siler City, NC Grandchildren & spouses: Dr. Michael and Mary Ann Williams Miami, FL Vaughn & Carolyn Cobb Stroudsburg, PA Kelly Sullivan Towanda, PA Jenny & Scott Dickinson Concord, NC Alicia & Justin Clouse Sugar Run, PA Chavonne & Dan McKenna Cortland, NY And twelve great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband Vaughn Potts, second husband Thomas Rossa, grandsons; Jared Cobb and Ezra Potts, and son-in-law Dwight Satterfield. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 12:00 P.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA, with Bishop Dan Buynak, officiating. Interment will be in the Rushville Cemetery, Rush Township, Susquehanna Co. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. There will be an Eastern Star service directly preceding the funeral service.
