DEAN HOMER FUNERAL HOME 206 WATER STREET PO BOX 1 DUSHORE, PA 18614 TEL 570 928-8163 FAX 570 928-8116 Email pdh@epix.net  OBITUARY April 15, 2014            Walter R. “ Butch” Barnosky, age 69, of Dushore, PA died on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA            Butch was born May 1, 1944 in Mildred, PA a son of the late Frank & Mary Barszczcowski Barnosky. He graduated from St. Basil’s High School a member of the class of 1962. He served in the US Navy and worked on construction until he was hired by Masonite Corp on April 4, 1966.                    He married the former Catherine Chervak of Mildred and she predeceased him on May 29, 1997.            He began working for Masonite Corp. in Wysox on April 4, 1966 s retiring in 1999 after 33 years of service.            Butch loved spending time with his family and many friends, whether it was sitting on his porch and visiting, or taking rides around the county, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved to cook for friends and family. He was an active member of St. Basil’s Church in Dushore, where he served as an usher for many years. He was a member of its Holy Name Society and a member of the White Ash Land Association. Butch was also a member of the Dushore Fire Company, as well as the National American Legion. He volunteered with Meals on Wheels for a number of years after retiring. He was also active with AYSO as a soccer coach in Dushore. He has been the president of the Fairview Cemetery Association for 15 years.  Surviving: Two sons: Richard W. (Denise) Barnosky                       Fairborn, Ohio Stephen F. Gardner on January 12, 1995.                     A Transferal Service will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 9:30 A.M. from the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA with the Rev. Joseph R. Hornick, his pastor, presiding. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Dushore, PA            Friends may call on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M.            Graveside Military Honors will be accorded by Members of Loyalsock Post #996 American Legion, Dushore, PA and members are asked to assemble and pass in review on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.            The family will provide the flowers and ask that memorial contributions be sent to Dushore Fire Company, PO Box 1, Dushore, PA 18614            To send condolences or sign the e-guestbook, please go to www.homerfuneralhome.com              To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Walter R.
