DEAN HOMER FUNERAL HOME   206 WATER STREET   PO BOX 1   DUSHORE, PA 18614   TEL 570 928-8163 FAX 570 928-8116   Email pdh@epix.net       OBITUARY April 3, 2014   Carl Jacob Cott, age 84, well known Mayor, of Forksville, PA passed away on Thursday night, April 3, 2014 at the Williamsport Hospital in Williamsport, PA with his loving family at his side.   He was born December 2, 1929 in Dushore, PA the son of the late Lawrence Jacob Cott and Audra Mae Steiner of Forksville, PA.  He married the former Grace Wilcox of Forksville, PA on July 17, 1955.      Carl attended the Cherry Township School and then later graduated in 1948 from the Loyalsock Area High School, Estella, PA.  He honorable served during the Korean Conflict in both the United States Army and Navy.   He started working at Baumunk Lumber and then proceeded to work at Randall Logging and McCarty Driscoll Lumber Company before retiring from Lewis Lumber Company after 26 years of service.  He also worked as the manager of the Sullivan County DMV in Laporte, PA for several years.   Carl was a member of the Forksville United Methodist Church and served the church as a trustee for many years.  He was also a member of the McDermott Post #452 American Legion, Mildred, PA.; the A.J. Bird Memorial Post #384 V.F.W.  New Albany, PA and the Evergreen Masonic Lodge #163 in Monroeton, PA. He was also a life member of the Scottish Rite in Williamsport, PA.   He has been serving as the Mayor of Forksville for many years and was very active in the Sullivan County Food Pantry.  He enjoyed camping and traveling.   Surviving is his wife of 58 years, Grace                    at home.   Son: David Cott                                                                    New Albany, PA   Daughter and son-in-law: Carol & Andrew Bucikowski                                     New Albany, PA   Brothers-in-law: Clark Walker                                                                Wyalusing, PA Norman (Ann) Wilcox                                                Montoursville, PA   Sisters-in-law: Judy Cott                                                                      Millville, PA Alberta Thall                                                                New Albany, PA             He is also survived by seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.             He was predeceased by a daughter, Catarina Daugian on September 27, 2012 and by two sisters, Audrey Mae Gilbert and Gail Dorsey Walker, and a brother, Larry Cott.   A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the Forksville United Methodist Church, Forksville, PA with Pastor Linda Renninger, officiating.  Interment will be in the Friends Cemetery, Shunk, PA.    Graveside Military Services will be accorded by members of the McDermott Post #452 American Legion, Mildred, PA, and the A.J. Bird Memorial Post #384 V.F.W.  New Albany, PA.  Members are asked to assemble and pass in review at 12:45 P.M. on Saturday in the church.   In lieu of flowers, the family asks that Memorial Contribution be sent to Forksville United Methodist Church, PO Box 4, Forksville, PA 18616, Forksville Volunteer Fire Company, PO Box 64, Forksville, PA 18616, or the Sullivan County Food Pantry, PO Box 55, Dushore, PA 18614.   Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the P.
