Kriel, age 95, of Drums, formerly of Mildred, PA passed away on Saturday, February 08, 2014. Helen was born in Mildred, PA on October 23, 1918 a daughter of the late Joseph & Nellie Rutkowski Bohensky. She married Peter Kriel of Lopez, PA on January 19, 1943 after he returned from WWII. Peter predeceased her on September 27, 1997. They made their home in Mildred and Helen worked for many years at the Endicott Johnson shoe factory. After Pete’s death she moved to Drums to be near her son John. Her greatest joy was taking care of her children. Helen was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, Mildred, PA. She was a loving spouse, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Surviving: Two Sons: Richard and Sandra Kriel Milford, PA John H. Kriel White Haven, PA Daughter: Debra (Terry) Hoffman Williamsport, PA Brothers: Paul Bohensky Elmira, NY William T. (Esther) Bohensky Dushore, PA Stanley A. (Elsie) Bohensky Dushore, PA 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers: Leo Bohensky on Feb. 5, 1966; Joseph J. Bohensky on June 1, 1978; Francis J. Bohensky on May 14, 1986; Edward J. Bohensky on April 6, 1994; and a sister, Cecelia Wanagitis on May 8, 1992. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 11 at 12:00 P.M. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Mildred, PA with the Rev. Joseph R. Hornick, pastor, presiding. Interment will be in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery. Friends may call at St. Francis of Assisi Church from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the Mass.
