Pauline was born November 9, 1937 in New Albany a daughter of the late Ivan M. & Helen O. Vogel Hugo. She graduated from the New Albany High School a member of the class of 1955 which was the last graduating class from the New Albany High School. She married James J. McMahon of Dushore on October 26, 1957. They celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary last October. Pauline was a member of St. Basil’s Church in Dushore, PA. As a child growing up in New Albany, she was a member of the United Methodist Church. She became a beautician and operated her salon in New Albany. She worked for several years in the Memorial Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit (SNU) Housekeeping Department. She found great pleasure interacting with the patients and bringing happiness to their day. Following her retirement, she continued to volunteer at the SNU. Pauline also served on the New Albany Board of Elections for many years. Rider Eagles Mere, PA Four grandchildren: Preston Crawford, Connor Crawford, Ashton McMahon Martin, and Shawn McMahon and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by: her husband, James J. McMahon on October 10, 2013; brothers, Howard I. Hugo, June 6, 2004 and Kenneth W. Hugo on March 6, 2002; a sister, Carolyn M. Rider on September 29, 2009; and brother-in-laws, John L. (Jack) McMahon on April 7, 2000 and Michael Klem on August 12, 2013 A Transferal Service will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 11:30 A.M. from the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 Noon at St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA with the Rev. Joseph R. Hornick, her pastor, presiding. Interment will be in St. Basil’s Cemetery. Friends may call at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, Dushore, on Saturday, November 30, 2013 from 9:30 A.M. to 11:30 P.M.
