After the sale of the restaurant she went to work for the Wyalusing High School for a short time followed by nineteen years at Tuscarora Insurance Company where she retired as the claims manager. She was devoted to her family and she and Bob hosted many family gatherings at their home in Camptown. She also enjoyed bowling, quilting, gardening, and was an avid card player.
