Maynard Wilcox, 66, of Syracuse, NY, formerly of Wyalusing, PA, died Saturday, September 15, 2013 at his home

Maynard was born June 13, 1947 in Sayre, PA, a son of the late Oliver W. Wilcox Sr. and Margaret Wells Wilcox McDonough of Sugar Run. He graduated from Wyalusing Valley Jr-Sr High School in 1965. He then attended Penn State University from which he enlisted in the US. Army where he was a Green Beret. He was honorably discharged and returned to Penn State University.

He was an avid bicycler.

Several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by brothers David Gregory Wilcox in 1949 and Oliver W. Wilcox Jr. in 1986.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 21st, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA. Pastor Joseph P. Billingsley of the Mehoopany Baptist Church will be officiating.

Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday morning from 10:00A.M. until the time of the service.
