Robinson, age 88, of Evergreen, PA passed away on Sunday, September 08, 2013 at the Towanda Memorial Hospital, Towanda, PA. George was born and raised on his family’s farm in Evergreen, PA on June 2, 1925 a son of the late Harland & Maude Allen Robinson. He married the former Lucille Kobbe of Evergreen, PA on March 4, 1950, having recently celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary. He graduated from the New Albany High School in the class of 1943. After school he continued working on the family farm for the rest of his life. George was also a truck driver for over twenty five years for the Browning Oil Company of New Albany. George was a member of the Moxie Community Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He loved being outdoors and puttering around on the farm. Robinson on July 3, 2012; a grandson, Richard Robinson in 1995; a brother Harland (Bub) Robinson in 1986; and Sister Gertrude Kobbe in 2010, and his faithful Belgian horse King. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 11:00A.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA 18853, with Pastor Mike MacWhinnie, of Moxie Community Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at the Homer Funeral Home in Wyalusing on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday morning from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. The family will provide the flowers and ask that Memorial Contributions be directed in George’s name to the Moxie Community Church, 391 Benjamin Road, Wyalusing, PA 18853.
