Mr. Michael Wyshinski, age 87, of Muncy Valley, PA 17758 passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 4, 2013 with his loving family at his side.
Mike was born November 20, 1925 in Berwick, PA one of ten children of the late Basil & Anna Bogdan Wyshinski. He left school and went to the state of Wyoming to become a cowboy. He was called away during WWII where he served in the US Navy in the Pacific Theater serving from 1943 to 1946. After the war he began working in the US Merchant Marines for Sun Oil Company where he served for 26 years. He married Anne Bernice Nayda of Chester, PA on February 18, 1951. Anne predeceased him on January 13, 2011.
Mike and Anne resided in Morton, PA until retiring to Sullivan County in 1973. Mike worked for many years for Sullivan County as a Sheriff’s deputy.
He was a loving spouse, father, and grandfather and also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He loved Sullivan County and its entire people.

And numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Ginger. Mike was predeceased by two brothers; Frank Fetich of Hazelton, PA and John Wyshinski of Berwick, PA; four sisters: Eva Weaver of West Milton, PA, Kate Russell of Sunbury, PA, Anna Williams of Berwick, PA and Helen Wyshinski of Berwick, PA.
Burial Service will be held on Friday, August 9th 2013 at 5:00 P.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA with the Rev. Dennis Hendershot, officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 3:00 P.M. until the time of the service at 5:00 P.M.
