Smith, age 73, of Forksville, PA passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at the Highlands Care Center in Laporte, PA after a long battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. Catherine, one of nine children of the late Norman & Margaret Boyles Sullivan, was born December 17, 1939 in Hillsgrove, PA. She married Emery Francis Smith of New Albany on November 18, 1960. He predeceased her on October 7, 2001. Catherine was a homemaker, a loving spouse, mother, and grandmother. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for the many large family dinners that she hosted at her home. She also loved to fish, especially in the Susquehanna River. Kenneth (Lois) Sullivan Auburn, NY Ronald Sullivan Wyalusing, PA Sister-in-law: Connie Lou Smith Estella, PA Nine grandchildren: Stephen Bednarik Nichole Bednarik Clarissa Paige Cassandra Mignot Christina Mignot Jon Wade Caleb Wade Ryan Smith Evan Smith Two great grandchildren: Keiarra Shaffer Liam Bednarik and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister: Martha Jane Hubbard, Williamsport, PA; four brothers: Richard Sullivan, Marvin Sullivan, Leo Sullivan, and Robert Sullivan all of Hillsgrove, PA; and a grandson, Connor Matthew Smith on Dec. 24, 2003. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 26, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA with the Rev. Kenneth Sullivan, her brother, officiating. Interment will be in Fairmont Cemetery, Forksville, PA. Friends may call at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home on Thursday, July 25, 2013 from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M.
