Walters, age 68, well known Wyalusing area farmer, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Daniel was born in Endicott, NY a son of the late Lester A. & Nancy Wheeler Walters. He married the former Lynette Kipp of Wyalusing, on December 13, 1965. Dan served in the US Army from 1962 to 1965. He was a lifelong farmer and he and his wife Lynette farmed in the Wyalusing area for many years, raising their family at the Fred Shaffer and Calvin Shaffer farms where he was the happiest. His greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren, Trevor, Jenifer, Zachary, Hayley and Cheyenne. Surviving: Spouse, Lynette Walters, Wyalusing; children: Laticia Saxon and partner Tom Rought of Meshoppen; Daniel K. “Bubba” Walters and fiancée, Tina Farley and Michael & Danielle Walters, both of Laceyville; brother: David Walters, of Towanda; sister, Helen Jackson of West Virginia; brother-in-law: Mike Milarta of Wyalusing; five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings: Beverly Walters, Betty Malaria, Jean Stone, and Robert Walters. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at the Spring Hill Community Hall at 5:00 P.M. with the Rev. Dale L. Russell, pastor of the Spring Hill United Methodist Church, officiating . There will be a dinner to follow after the service. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the P.
