Marion was born in Mildred, PA on March 27, 1934 a daughter of the late Edward Anthony Yavorski and Anna Joan Kulsicavage Yavorski. She graduated from Turnpike High School, a member of the class of 1952. From 1954 until 1957 she honorably served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. In 1958 she graduated from the Wilkes-Barre Business College. She started working at ANSCO in Binghamton, NY, and retired as an auditor from the Pennsylvania’s Auditor General’s Office. On July 18, 1964 she married Francis L. Hofford of Lehighton, PA. They would have celebrated their 49th Wedding Anniversary this July. She was a member of St. Peter & Paul’s Church in Lehighton, PA. She was predeceased by two sisters, Helen Blasi and Joan Sailor. A Transferal Service will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 11:30 A.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Mildred at 12:00 Noon with the Rev. Joseph R. Hornick, presiding. Interment will be in the adjoining parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
