John was born in Binghamton, on December 18, 1960 a son of Frank E. Mucha, formerly of Mildred, PA and the late Genevieve Kaier Mucha, formerly of Dushore, PA. He graduated from High School and worked for several businesses in the Binghamton Area and also for Suny Binghamton University. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Hillcrest, formerly St. Rita’s Church of Chenango Forks and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 206 of Binghamton, NY. He enjoyed caring for his father and driving him to many family gatherings and church picnics. He was also an avid Yankee Baseball fan. Surviving: father: Frank Mucha at home; aunts: Stella Patros, of Elmira, NY, Frances Pastusic of Mildred, PA, Theresa Mucha of Binghamton, NY; Josephine Klem of Dushore, PA; uncle, Gerard Kaier of Dushore; and numerous cousins. A Transferal Service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, April 25, 2013 from the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA 18614 and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. at St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA with the Rev. Vincent F. Langan, presiding. Interment will be in St. Basil’s Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
