Donna L. (Jennings) Cook
Donna L. Cook of Longmont, CO went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 7, 2013. She was born November 23, 1942 in Towanda, PA, the daughter of Lyle and Wilma (Cole) Jennings.
Donna received her diploma from Wyalusing Valley High School. In 1960, she married Guy Cook who was the love of her life for over 52 years. She was active in Rocky Mountain Christian Church as a Stephen’s Minister, MOPS mentor, and part of the Healing Prayer team. Donna studied and taught early preschool education courses. She had a deep interest in early childhood brain development. She has a special bond with children, always looking for ways to love and encourage them. Donna had a special gift of hospitality, always considering the needs of others.
Donna is survived by her husband, Guy Sr.; three children, Guy Cook Jr. and wife, Nana, their sons, Ty and Josh of Cheyenne, WY; Heidi Cook of Longmont, CO; Yvette and husband, Michael Terrifay and their son, Matthew of Longmont, CO; sister, Jacqueline Wilson of Herrickville, PA; mother in law, May Cook of Towanda, PA; brother in law, Paul Cook, and Agnes of Rome, PA; sister in law, Sherry and husband John Kipp of Rome, PA; numerous nieces and nephews.
Donna was predeceased by her parents and brother, Richard Jennings.
Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Rocky Mountain church with Chris Crisfield officiating.
