OBITUARY
April 6, 2013
Mrs. Betty P. Baker, age 86, of Wyalusing, PA passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA.
Betty was born on February 22, 1927 in Chambersburg, PA, daughter of the late Elmer and Ellen Durling Perry. She attended the Wyalusing High School, graduating in the class of 1945. After school she met and married Joseph Baker of Meshoppen, PA on December 24, 1946, he predeceased her on April 6, 1993. She raised her family at their home on 3rd Street in Wyalusing.
Betty was a member of the Wyalusing United Methodist Church, as well as a member of the Wyalusing Methodist Women. She was a lifetime Auxiliary member of the Wyalusing American Legion Post #534, also was a charter member of the Bradford Salon #747, Eight and Forty. Betty enjoyed spending time with her family and friends; she liked hosting Baker family get-togethers. She loved reading as a pastime, especially romance novels. She loved to travel with her husband Joe, having gone all over the country, as well as Mexico, Hawaii, Rio de Janeiro, Acapulco, Spain, and Jamaica.

15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son David Baker, and an infant daughter Bonnie Jean Baker.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April10, 2013 at 10:30 AM at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA, with the Rev. Garry Zuber, pastor of the Troy and East Troy Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Wyalusing Cemetery, Wyalusing, PA.
Friends may call at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.
Members of American Legion Auxiliary of Wyalusing Post #534 and Bradford Salon #747 Eight and Forty will have a service at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday morning at the funeral home.
The family will provide the flowers and requests that donation be sent to the Wyalusing United Methodist Church PO Box 155, Wyalusing, PA 18853.
