Allen Mosier, , age 70, of Sugar Run, PA passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at her home with her loving family at her side. Judy was born on August 18, 1942 in Sayre, PA, daughter of the late Lester R. and Carrie M. Vanderpool Allen. She attended the Canton High School. After school she met and married Norris Mosier of Sugar Run, PA on August 23, 1958, they celebrated their 54th anniversary last year. After getting married she and Norris lived in Homet’s Ferry for a few years, and then moved to Sugar Run, where she raised her family and helped Norris run the farm for Henry Turrell. During this time she also worked in the cafeteria at the Laceyville Elementary school for 10 years. Judy was a member of the Hollenback Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy; she spent every moment she could with them. She was an avid Yankees fan, and did not appreciate interruptions while enjoying the ball game. Judy was a member of the Wyalusing Bowling Association, having attended many State Bowling tournaments. She enjoyed getting in the car and going for Sunday drives with Norris. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA, with the Rev. Dale L. Russell, presiding. Interment will be in the Terrytown Cemetery. Friends may call at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home on Monday from 1:00 P.M until the time of the service. The family and Chris Turrell will provide the flowers and requests that donation be sent to the Hollenback United Methodist Church, PO Box 155, Wyalusing, PA 18853.
