Raymond R. Tuttle, age 82, of Sugar Run, PA passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 9, 2013, at his home with his loving family at his side.
Raymond was born in Hollenback, PA on September 22, 1930, a son of the late Rodney C. and Elizabeth Stoddard Tuttle. He attended the Grant Hill School in Hollenback until it closed, and then attended the Wyalusing High School. After school he met the former Ruth Post at a square dance in Camptown. They were married on March 14, 1952 right before being drafted into the United States Army, where he served 2 years in Korea, upon completion of his tour he came home and took over his family’s farm on Grant Hill which he worked for 28 years. He and Ruth sold the farm and traveled the United States. He then started his own business operating a skid steer for hire, which he did for 10+ years until retiring in the mid-nineteen nineties.
Ray loved to play cards and dominoes. He enjoyed watching the deer and other animals that would make their way through the yard. He was a hunter and enjoyed time spent in the woods. Ray really liked to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
