DEAN HOMER FUNERAL HOME 206 WATER STREET PO BOX 1 DUSHORE, PA 18614 TEL 570 928-8163 FAX 570 928-8116 Email pdh@epix.net OBITUARY Florence Louella Palmer, age 101, long time New Albany School Teacher, of Fawcett Avenue, New Albany, PA passed away on Saturday morning, January 12, 2013 at the Highlands Care Center, Laporte where she had resided for the last several months. Florence was born in Elkland Township, Sullivan Co., PA on September 16, 1911 daughter of the late George Francis Hugo and Rena Louella Miller. Her family moved to New Albany and she graduated from the New Albany High School and from the Mansfield State Teacher’s College, now Mansfield University. She taught Elementary School at the New Albany Elementary School for many years until she retired. She survived two husbands, Millard Kenneth Dibble who predeceased her in 1966 and Louis Palmer who predeceased her in 1983. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers: Harold Hugo in 1963, Leon Hugo in 1986, Ivan Hugo in 2003, and Maynard Hugo in 2006. Abiding by her wishes there will be no services.
