He was born on April 9, 1938 at Mills Hospital, Towanda, PA the son of the late Reuben Jacob Neuber and Belle Kathryn Potter. Charlie walked to a one-room school house on Sugar Hill with his mother who was a school teacher and he later attended school at Sugar Run and Camptown. He graduated from Wyalusing Valley High School, Class of 1956. He farmed with his father for many years and drove milk truck when farmers in the area used milk cans and he would then deliver the cans to the Wyalusing Creamery. Charlie lived his entire life on Sugar Hill, in Wilmot Twp. On August 23, 1969, he married Lois Louise Green of Neath, PA, where she was raised on a farm. They were married at the Welsh Congregational Church in Neath, PA. He was a school bus contractor and driver since February of 1960. He owned school buses in the Sugar Run and Hollenback area for 52 1/2 years. Charlie drove bus for 26 years before working for Giffin Construction Company. He also worked for Farm & Home Gas where he delivered propane and for Burgess Construction in excavating. He retired from Williams Oil and Propane in December of 2009. Charlie was a member and Past Master of Wyalusing Masonic Lodge, No. 618 F. &A.M. and also a member of the Bradford County Shrine Club, Irem Temple in Dallas, PA, Scottish Rite Consistory, in Towanda, PA, and the Williamsport Scottish Rite Consistory. He was also a member of the Wilmot Fire Company and past member of the Wyalusing Area Band Parents Association. Charlie also served as a Supervisor for Wilmot Township for 6 years. He was also a Past Elder of the Wyalusing Presbyterian Church. Charlie and Lois visited several states in the United States and visited the countries of Ireland, England, Scotland, Wales, Canada, and the Bahamas. Charlie enjoyed taking numerous charter bus trips and especially enjoyed the mystery bus trips. They also took cruises to Nova Scotia and the Bahamas. Charlie and Lois spent their 25th wedding anniversary on a two week tour of Alaska and British Columbia. Surviving: spouse: Lois Neuber, at home; three sons: Wayne Everett Neuber (Jennifer) of Neath, PA; David Charles Neuber (Mary) of Spring Lake, PA; and Bryan Lee Neuber of California; a daughter: Melissa Ann Schwartz (Ralph) of Dallas, PA; five grandchildren: Maisie Neuber, Emma Neuber, Jacob Neuber, Benjamin Zeidner and Zachary Zeidner; two aunts: Arlene Neuber of Wilmot, PA and Betty Horton of Assisted Living, Towanda, PA and by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben & Belle Neuber, grandparents Jacob Neuber and wife, Belvia Hunsinger; and Emery Charles Potter and wife, Eliza Jane Gamble. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Ln, Wyalusing, PA, with the Rev. Dr. Barry Ballard officiating. Interment will be in the Wyalusing Cemetery. Friends may call at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA, on Friday, from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wyalusing Masonic Lodge, No. 618 F. &A.M. will have a service at 5:45 P.M. on Friday evening at the funeral home.
