DaCosta, age 83, of Dushore, PA passed away on Saturday morning, September 22, 2012 at his home with his loving spouse Dorothy at his side. Don was born June 9, 1929 in Bergenfield, NJ a son of the late Headly I. & Gretta Bauer DaCosta. He attended local schools and married the former Dorothy M. Ference of Tenafly, NJ on July 18, 1948 at St. Theresa’s Church in Cresskill, NJ Don worked as a carpenter on construction projects in the Bergenfield area and later moved to Northvale, NJ where he worked for ¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬Norel Plastics, a plastics fabricating company. He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church where he called Bingo for many years. He was also active as a Boy Scout Leader. They retired to Dushore in 1986. Don was blessed with an amazing voice and sang for Ann Moyer’s group “One More Time” and for Christmas pageants in Towanda and also for the Dushore Music Club. He also sang the national anthem a various local Democrat party functions. Surviving; Spouse of 64 years, Dorothy; three sons: Donald DaCosta of Westwood, NJ, Stephen DaCosta of Toms River, NJ and Michael (Anne) DaCosta of Northvale, NJ; brothers: twins, Headly DaCosta Jr of Las Vegas, NV and Edward DaCosta of Bergenfield, NJ; a twin sister, Dalores Bongiovanni of SC and Bernice Miles of Santee, CA; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Saturday, September 29, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. at the Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale, NJ Local arrangements were under the direction of the P.
