Trula was born January 27, 1929 in Grayson County, VA a daughter of the late Robert Wesley James and Maggie L. Holdaway James. Trula had a great and strong faith in God and love of her family. She was a lay preacher in New Windsor, MD and also in Middleton, MD. She spend most of her life in Maryland. She was employed in knitting mills, hospitality and healthcare and worked very hard to take care of her family. She moved to Wyalusing in 2004 to reside with her loving daughter, Brenda Shenk. Surviving: Three daughters: Shirley Stewart Robbins, NC Beverly Lewis Cosby, TN Brenda Shenk Wyalusing, PA Two brothers: Rush James Troutdale, VA Herbert James Sugar Grove, VA Sister: Margaret Cornett Abbottstown, PA Seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter Wanda Fox. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 29th, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Garfield United Methodist Church, Smithsburg, MD. Interment will be in the Garfield Cemetery.
