Dorothy was born March 25, 1918 in Duryea, PA a daughter of the late Nicholas & Matrona Krivetskaja Koes. She married Harold Abrams of Wilmot, PA on July 18, 1942. They lived in Lopez, until Harold’s passing in 1976. She moved to Sullivan Terrace, Dushore and resided there until her illness required advanced care. Dorothy was a loving spouse, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed reading, jigsaw puzzles, her “soaps,” and gambling. Surviving: Three daughters: Carol L (Sam) Wells Overton, PA Patricia McIlvee Wilkes-Barre, PA Michelle (Mark) Finan Germantown, IL Daughter-in-law: Elizabeth (Jack) Hill South Waverly, PA Son-in-law: Paul Belanger Austell, GA Brother and sister-in-law: John & Betty Koes Colchester, CT Eleven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by daughter, Janet Belanger; a son, Nicholas Abrams; a grandson, Timothy Kendall, and sister, Helen Koes and brother, Harry Koes. Funeral and Committal Services will be held on Monday, July 2, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA with the Rev. Robert W. Martin officiating. Interment will be in the Norconk Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
